From the private collection of the Swiss Archaeologist Philipp Reto Huser (1962-2025), privately acquired in Swiss coin trade over the past 30 years.


Windisch-Feistritz was home to one of the largest coal mines in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. This extremely rare piece was likely a form of emergency money issued by the coal company Stiger & Son during the end of the First World War.
